1717 - George I, The Act of Grace and Free Pardon Sold

This silver medal by John Croker commemorates the the passing of the Act of Grace and Free Pardon by both Houses of Pariament in 1717 (MI ii 437/36). The act was an amnesty offered to those who had engaged in recent rebellions by George I. The reverse shows Clemency with her attributes of peace and the serpent of rebellion. The diameter is 45mm and the condition Extremely Fine. This medal has been sold.
