1933 - Arsonval Art Deco Medal SOLD

This beautiful Art Deco medal by P.M. Dammann commemorates the work of Professor A. D'Arsonval, a French physicist, issued in 1933. D’Arsonval helped to develop apparatus for electrocoagulation which was widely used for surgical excisions and tumor treatments. The reverse shows Nosos, the personification of illness, plague and disease, in Art Deco form, slaying a multi-headed monster. The diameter is 80 mm and the condition Practically Mint. This medal has been Reserved. This medal has been sold.
