1710 - Bethune, St. Vincant and Aire SOLD

This silver medal by John Croker and Samuel Bull commemorates the capture of Bethune, St. Venant and Aire, engagements in the Spanish War of Succession, in 1710 (MI ii 374/220). The medal celebrates the surrender of Bethune (August), St. Venant (September) and Aire (October), the success of the allies, under the comand of the Duke of Marlborough, after the battle of Douay. The diameter is 48mm and the condition better than Extremely Fine. This medal has been sold.
