1703 - Queen Anne, Cities Captured

This silver medal by John Croker commemorates the cities captured by the Duke of Marlborough during his campaign of 1703 (MI (ii) 246/35). The cities of Bonn, Huy and Limbourg were captured during the War of the Spanish Succession. The reverse shows the Duke of Marlborough on horseback receiving the keys of the cities. The diameter is 42mm and the condition almost Extremely Fine.
